Discover Viti Levu's beautifully untouched southwest coast when you stay in the serene, picturesque Momi Bay!
Momi Bay Fiji Resorts & Information
Momi Bay is located on the southwest coast of Viti Levu, Fiji’s main island. The area is considered to be one of the island’s most untouched areas, and with rolling green hills, pristine reefs, and startlingly clear waters, there’s no denying it’s true!
The journey to Momi Bay is simple. A 45-minute direct drive will get you there from Nadi International Airport (approximately 35km away)—a drive that passes by pine plantations, sugar-cane fields, and farmland to give a true sense of how the locals in the area live. Discover your own slice of island life in Momi Bay. Popular surf breaks are nearby, as are plenty of pristine tropical reefs. Surf, dive, snorkel, or enjoy the luxury of the world class resorts at and around Momi Bay.
Momi Bay was instrumental during WWII. The geography of the region is perfect for defence and battery stations were set up here to protect the main pass through the Great Sea Reef. Visitors can visit the Momi Bay Historical Battery Park. The views in the area are stunning and overlook the whole bay.
Much of the activities in Momi Bay are based in the water. Cloudbreak, an internationally popular surf spot is located nearby—between the bay and Namotu, one of the nearby Mamanuca Islands. Boats run out of Momi Bay to take visitors fishing, diving, and out to the islands. Tours can be arranged with private tour companies or at your resort’s front desk! Inland activities are slightly further afield, but well worth the drive. Travel 1-hour to reach the Sleeping Giant Zipline and Waterfall Walk, or 45-minutes to play golf or shop in the local markets in Denarau Island.
