Momi Bay is located on the south-west coast of Viti Levu, Fiji’s main island. A 45-minute journey will get you there from the Nadi International Airport. The direct drive is approximately 35-kilometres long and will take you past beautifully diverse scenes including pine plantations, sugar-cane fields and locally owned farmlands. The magnificent Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay is located right in the heart of the area. A sprawling resort where guests can make the most of their surroundings with unique over-water bungalow accommodation!
Discover your own slice of island life in Momi Bay. here, you’ll find popular surf breaks nearby and plenty of pristine tropical reefs to explore. History buffs will love the area too – Momi Bay was instrumental during WWII as the geography of the region was used for defence and battery stations. During the war, these stations were set up to protect the main pass through the Great Sea Reef. Visit the Momi Bay Historical Battery Park for stunning views overlookng the whole bay!
Many of the activities in Momi Bay are based in the water. Cloudbreak, the internationally renowned surf spot is located between Momi and the bay and Namotu, one of the nearby Mamanuca Islands. Boats run out of Momi Bay to take visitors fishing, diving, and out to the islands. Tours can be arranged with private companies or at the desk at your resort! Inland activities are slightly further afield and well worth the drive. The Sleeping Giant Zipline and Waterfall Walk are just an hour away, while the golf course and local markets on Denarau Island are just a 45-minute drive.
