Momi Bay

Momi Bay is located on the southwest coast of Viti Levu, Fiji’s main island. A 45 minute journey will get you there from the Nadi International Airport. The direct drive is approximately 35km long and will take you past beautifully diverse scenes including pine plantations, sugar-cane fields and locally owned farmlands. The region is a natural paradise. It features rolling green hills and pristine reefs covered by startlingly clear waters. The magnificent Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay spreads out across the heart of the area and, at it, guests can make the most of their surroundings with unique overwater bungalow accommodation!

Discover your own slice of island life in Momi Bay, no matter what your special interests are. There are popular surf breaks nearby and plenty of pristine tropical reefs to explore. History buffs will love the area too—Momi Bay was instrumental during WWII as the geography of the region is perfect for defence and battery stations. During the war, these stations were set up to protect the main pass through the Great Sea Reef. Visitors can visit the Momi Bay Historical Battery Park. The views are stunning and overlook the whole bay!

Many of the activities in Momi Bay are based in the water. Cloudbreak, the internationally renowned surf spot is located nearby—between the bay and Namotu, one of the nearby Mamanuca Islands. Boats run out of Momi Bay to take visitors fishing, diving, and out to the islands and tours can be arranged with private companies or at the desk at your resort! Inland activities are slightly further afield, but well worth the drive. Travel 1 hour to reach the Sleeping Giant Zipline and Waterfall Walk, or 45 minutes to play golf or shop in the local markets on Denarau Island.
