Care Fiji Commitment
In light of COVID-19, Fiji has continuously strived to prioritise public health and safety. To prevent an outbreak on the islands and to keep people safe and businesses running, the Fijian government have implemented a range of effective measures, including the adoption of contract-tracing, border and quarantine protocols, and public communications regarding social distancing and proper sanitation. More recently, Fiji has seen the rollout of COVID-19 vaccinations, which will continue until all of Fiji’s eligible population is protected.
In response to the Fijian government’s COVID-19 initiatives, the Fijian Tourism Industry has proudly adopted the Care Fiji Commitment. This is a WHO-approved standard of best practice health and safety measures that aim to align Fiji with safe travel norms in a post-COVID-19 world. In recognition of this, the World Travel and Tourism Council has declared Fiji a ‘Safe Travels’ destination. Rest assured that the people of Fiji are more than ready to welcome you back!
